About Me

I’m LD or Lauren Duncan. So when I say Weddings by LD, I mean me filming your wedding. I’m an independent videographer, but I have worked on teams and am practiced in making sure I don’t miss a moment. I strive to simply and effectively tell the story of your wedding day. Simply means that I shoot by myself to avoid being too large of a presence. Effectively means editing together that best reflects the style of your wedding. I don’t want your wedding to feel like a production day. I work with your photographers to capture the beautiful moments already happening.

I was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. Since my graduation from Elon University in 2018, I have moved to Los Angeles to become more involved in the full spectrum of production. I primarily work as a production assistant on shows such as the Creative Arts Emmys but have also worked as an Assistant Editor and Media Manager for various music videos and YouTube series.

I’ve been filming weddings for four years. And though I haven’t had my own wedding day, I know that I want to enjoy that special day and secondly, I want to create a memory that I can share with my husband. Those are my priorities for my couples, many of which are dear friends.
